Nike Inflict 4 Wrestling Shoes

Great shoes! Love the design. Grip is fantastic and shoes fit perfectly and comfortably.

On foot these are one of the most lightweight wrestling shoes I’ve ever had. The upper is breathable, and they feel good on the first wear without needing to break them in. I’m curious how well the upper will hold up with how lightweight the shoe is, but I’ve never owned a pair of Nike shoes where the upper was an issue (besides the Inflict 3s where they changed the toe from felt to whatever material is paint coated that wears off… was durable in the end though minus color wearing off). My only complaint is the white felt on many of the anticipated color ways plus the black ones I purchased. While I’m happy they went back to the felt toe, the white gets dirty fast and would appreciate additional color ways with significantly less white and the use of say black / dark felt around the toes. The style of these remind me of the old original takedown supremes, except these are much lighter. Overall very happy with this recreated version of a classic shoe. I’m giving 4 stars because of being forced to buy colors with white / light colored felt. If they make color ways that are predominantly black or darker colors (like blue, red, grey), I’d give 5 stars and buy numerous pairs to wear for years to come. I want shoes that still look good after being worn 10-15 times, and the white felt doesn’t allow for that.

The inflict 4 is definitely the best version. The fabric has alot of vents to keep your feet cool. The tongue also has vents as well. Some of the key improvements are the lace loops on the tongue. I love this adjustment. I hope they use that style on all their shoes. It keeps your tongue in place and will prevent it from sliding to the side of your foot. The lace velcro tab is also an improvement from the strap that goes across the top. Its simple and does the job. The shoe is also very lightweight. No break in needed. The sole is thin and flexible so if you need more cushion then you gotta wear thicker socks. Overall the 4th version is the best yet. Cant wait for the other colorways to drop.
